COASTAL AND BEACH DESTINATIONS

Your Island. Your Story. Crafted Just for You.

Cey Sky Travels is a Sri Lanka-based travel company with strong experience in designing and delivering well-planned journeys across the island. We specialise in creating thoughtfully curated tours that highlight Sri Lanka’s rich heritage, diverse landscapes, and authentic local experiences.
With strong on-ground expertise and personalised attention to every detail, we ensure each itinerary is carefully structured for comfort, flow, and meaning. Our approach blends seamless coordination with genuine local connections, allowing travellers to experience Sri Lanka in a deeper and more memorable way.

Bentota

Sri Lanka’s most established beach resort area, with calm waters, a wide choice of hotels and the Bentota River running alongside for mangrove safaris and water sports. A reliable, well-serviced option for travellers who want a straightforward beach stay.

Hikkaduwa

An accessible coral reef paired with a livelier, more social beach town atmosphere than the quieter stretches further south, with a strong surf scene and turtle conservation projects nearby for an easy half-day addition.

Unawatuna

A curved, sheltered bay close enough to Galle Fort to work as a same-day pairing, with a shallow coral reef just offshore that makes it one of the easiest snorkelling spots on the south coast. A natural half-day extension for travellers based in Galle.

Trincomalee

One of Asia’s finest natural harbours, with Koneswaram Temple dramatically perched on Swami Rock above the water, and Pigeon Island’s coral gardens a short boat trip offshore. The east coast season runs April to September, calm and clear exactly when the south coast is at its wettest.

Arugam Bay

Sri Lanka’s premier surf town, home to Main Point, one of the world’s best right-hand point breaks, alongside a relaxed, low-key atmosphere and Pottuvil Lagoon’s boat safaris just inland. The main surf season runs April to October, with June to September the most consistent.

Tangalle

A wide, quiet stretch of south coast with considerably more space and privacy than the busier resorts further west, and Rekawa Beach, a sea turtle nesting site, close by for an easy evening excursion. It suits travellers who want a slower coastal finish after an active circuit.

Weligama

A long, gently curling bay with one of Sri Lanka’s most forgiving beginner surf breaks, backed by a working fishing harbour and a growing run of genuinely good coastal restaurants. It suits travellers who want a first surf lesson without the intensity of a more advanced break.

Mirissa

A south coast beach town built around one of the world’s most reliable blue and sperm whale migration corridors, alongside a genuinely good beach and the postcard view from Coconut Tree Hill. Pre-dawn boat departures from November to April give strong odds of a sighting, with a Polhena Reef snorkelling trip offered outside season.

Galle

A UNESCO World Heritage fort layered with Portuguese, Dutch and British colonial history. Galle Fort still functions as a living town rather than a preserved museum piece, with boutique hotels, independent galleries and a Dutch Reformed Church from 1755 all inside 17th century coral-stone ramparts above the Indian Ocean. The rampart walk at golden hour is the moment most travellers remember longest.

Negombo

The gateway coastal town, minutes from the airport, with a working fish market and lagoon. Negombo’s Dutch canal network and lagoon fishing villages give it considerably more depth than a simple arrival stop, with traditional catamaran fishing still practised much as it has been for generations. It works naturally as a first or last night on almost any itinerary, easing the transition either side of a long-haul flight.
